“On behalf of the South East Wales Library
partnership, I would like to take this opportunity to thank
Julie Williams for her work on the Libraries and Learndirect
project. This project involved setting out a Strategic and
Action Plan detailing how the public libraries in South East
Wales and the University for Industry (UFI) could work together
in partnership promoting on-line learning in libraries. The
work also covered drafting a Memorandum of Understanding
(MOU) to support libraries becoming part of the UFI Flexible
Learning in the Community (FLIC) European bid.
Julie Williams
has considerable experience of working with European bids
and she has a very clear understanding of what is required
by the Welsh European Funding Office. This knowledge proved
to be invaluable and meant that she quickly identified the
additional research information that was needed to support
the UFI bid.
Julie has strong communications skills and a
good existing network of contacts within the community which
she was able to use to gather information to support both
the MOU and the Plan.
Julie conducted the project professionally
ensuring all relevant parties were kept informed of progress.”

“Imperialis have worked with
us on two projects. The first was to identify opportunities
for higher education libraries within Wales to access EU
funding to part-fund projects under the Convergence and Competitiveness
EU Structural Funds Programmes. The second was to establish
the feasibility of submitting a Project Idea Form and an
Expression of Interest for European Convergence funding to
take forward a new academic library sector led scheme to
provide businesses with access to electronic business information
resources.
We were particularly impressed with Julie's understanding
of the strategic issues, as this enabled her to develop our
ideas in the context of European funding.
It resulted in
the production of two excellent reports with innovative recommendations
and practical outcomes, all delivered on time and within
budget.”

“We
approached Imperialis with an incredibly short deadline to
evaluate the potential European funding opportunities for
a high profile tourism and education project. They provided
an excellent report that was thorough, detailed and included
invaluable contacts and further steps for the project to
move forward. I have no hesitation in recommending Imperialis,
and will definitely be using their services again.”
